76TH ACADEMY AWARDS 2004 - TUTTI I PREMI OSCARS: FINALMENTE SI FESTEGGIA IL TRIONFO DEL RE CON 11 OSCARS !!!

Los Angeles, 29 febbraio - Si è conclusa da pochi minuti al Kodak Theatre di Los Angeles, presentata dallo strepitoso mattatore Billy Crystal introdotto da Sean Connery, la prestigiosa Cerimonia di premiazione degli Academy Awards assegnati dall'Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, la favolosa Cerimonia degli Oscars 2004. Finalmente si può festeggiare il meritato Trionfo del Re e della splendida trilogia The Lord of the Rings di Peter Jackson tratta dal capolavoro di J.R.R. Tolkien: Il Signore degli Anelli - Il Ritorno del Re (The Return of the King) entra anche nella storia degli Academy Awards, dopo l'ascesa nella leggenda del cinema Fantasy di ogni tempo, conquistando addirittura undici Statuette Oscars su undici Nominations (Record storico di Statuette insieme a "Ben Hur" - 1959, William Wyler, dodici Nominations - e "Titanic" - 1997, James Cameron, quattordici Nominations - unico ad affermarsi in tutte le Categorie per le quali è stato Nominato), all'insegna di un meritato riconoscimento per una fantastica, colossale opera che ha emozionato tutto il mondo. Il Signore degli Anelli: Il Ritorno del Re si aggiudica (11) undici Oscar, dunque tutte le Statuette per le quali aveva ricevuto le rispettive Nominations, per Miglior Film, Migliore Regia, Migliore Sceneggiatura adattata, Migliore Canzone Originale, Miglior Montaggio, Migliore Colonna Sonora, Miglior Sonoro (Sound Mixing), Miglior Makeup (Trucco), Migliori Effetti Speciali Visivi, Migliori Costumi e Migliore Scenografia. Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World si aggiudica (2) due Academy Awards per la Migliore Fotografia e per il Miglior Montaggio Audio. Mystic River vede premiati i suoi principali interpreti con (2) due Oscars a Sean Penn come Migliore Attore Protagonista e Tim Robbins come Migliore Attore non Protagonista. Sean Penn, il grandissimo Sean Penn, l'assenteista per eccellenza, è presente quindi vincente per un'interpretazione che non rientra nemmeno tra le sue migliori, a scapito del bravissimo Bill Murray che viene subito consolato da Billy Crystal e dal pubblico del Kodak Theatre per una sconfitta dolorosa quanto immeritata. Lost in Translation vince un Oscar per la Migliore Sceneggiatura originale, Alla Ricerca di Nemo (Finding Nemo) stravince ovviamente l'Oscar per il Miglior Film d'Animazione, Cold Mountain racimola un solo ed assai discusso Oscar su sette Nominations a Renée Zellweger come Migliore Attrice non Protagonista e Monster entra nella lista dei premiati grazie a Charlize Theron, Oscar come Migliore Attrice Protagonista per l'interpretazione della serial killer Aileen Wuornos. Record negativo per Seabiscuit, nessun Oscar su sette Nominations, e La Maledizione della Prima Luna - Pirates of the Caribbean, a bocca asciutta su cinque Nominations. Tutte le pellicole in gara hanno comunque subito lo strapotere ed il New Zealand Power de Il Signore degli Anelli: Il Ritorno del Re, tanto sottolineato dal simpaticissimo Billy Crystal durante l'intera Cerimonia, al punto che Denise Robert, produttrice de Le Invasioni Barbariche (The Barbarian Invasions), al momento di ritirare l'Oscar per il Miglior Film Straniero ha simpaticamente dichiarato: << We're so thankful that "Lord of the Rings" did not qualify in this category !!! (Siamo così grati e sollevati che "Il Signore degli Anelli" non si sia qualificato in questa categoria !!!) >>. LA CERIMONIA IN BREVE

Iniziata con le esilaranti parodie di Billy Crystal nei panni di un "pirata" che registra illegalmente un film al cinema e, grazie ad un magico anello, si trasforma dapprima in Arnold Schwarzenegger ("Terminator 3") e successivamente entra a far parte di tutti i film più prestigiosi dell'anno, da Il Ritorno del Re a Master and Commander, passando da Cold Mountain a Lost in Translation, Mystic River, Seabiscuit e Something's Gotta Give, entrando perfino in Finding Nemo e assumendo le vesti di Legolas, Aragorn, Gollum, per essere infine accompagnato al Kodak Theatre da Jack Nicholson nei panni di Gandalf, che gli offre in dono i suoi "occhiali da sole magici" come portafortuna per far bene agli Oscars, e regalare a ciascuno dei film e protagonisti nominati, come Clint Eastwood, uno spassoso omaggio musicale. La Cerimonia è proseguita poi con la straripante simpatia di Robin Williams che duetta con Billy Crystal all'insegna dell'intrattenimento puro, mostra continuamente il capezzolo alla Janet Jackson (coperto ovviamente dalla camicia) ironizzando sulla decisione di trasmettere gli Oscars in differita e su chi sia "più macho" tra Mel Gibson e Benicio Del Toro. Agli Oscars ci sono proprio tutti, dal finalmente presente Sean Penn a Nicolas Cage, dalla stupenda Angelina Jolie a Tom Hanks che introduce un commosso omaggio al mitico Bob Hope sulle note di "Forrest Gump". Si prosegue poi con Ben Stiller e Owen Wilson, presentatori delle due categorie meno illustri dell'intera Cerimonia, ridicoli quasi quanto il loro prossimo film "Starsky e Hutch", forzatamente pubblicizzato, che sbarcherà a marzo nelle sale americane e calpesterà il mitico omonimo telefilm degli Anni '70. La sovrappeso ma sempre bella Liv Tyler presenta le canzoni nominate agli Oscars e i loro interpreti, tra cui svetta Annie Lennox. Lo scatenato Jim Carrey introduce l'Oscar alla carriera al regista e sceneggiatore Blake Edwards. Bill Murray riassume la clip di Lost in Translation e ricorda che Sofia Coppola è la prima regista donna americana ad essere nominata agli Oscars. John Travolta e Sandra Bullock consegnano l'Oscar al Miglior Sound Mixing e al Miglior Sound Editing. Julia Roberts rende omaggio all'indimenticabile Katharine Hepburn. Oprah Winfrey presenta la clip di Mystic River. John Cusack e Diane Lane presentano il Miglior Documentario nella categoria Documentary short subject. Alec Baldwin e Naomi Watts premiano il Miglior Documentario nella categoria Documentary feature. Vengono ricordati Gregory Peck e tutte le stelle di Hollywood recentemente scomparse nel commosso video "In Memoriam". I grandissimi Phil Collins e Sting premiano la Migliore Colonna Sonora. Pierce Brosnan e Julianne Moore consegnano l'Oscar a Jamie Selkirk per il Miglior Montaggio. Jamie Lee Curtis introduce la canzone A Kiss at the End of the Rainbow tratta da A Mighty Wind e The Triplets of Belleville dall'omonimo film. Jack Black e Will Ferrell, assolutamente a briglie sciolte, consegnano l'Oscar per la Migliore Canzone Originale ad Annie Lennox. L'affascinante Charlize Theron presenta l'Oscar al Miglior Film straniero. La bellissima Uma Thurman e Jude Law consegnano il secondo Oscar a Master and Commander per la Migliore Fotografia. Francis Ford Coppola e Sofia Coppola consegnano il nono Oscar a Il Ritorno del Re per la Migliore Sceneggiatura Adattata. Tim Robbins e Susan Sarandon consegnano l'Oscar alla Migliore Sceneggiatura Originale a Sofia Coppola. Il grande escluso Tom Cruise consegna l'Oscar al Miglior Regista a Peter Jackson. Adrien Brody consegna l'Oscar alla Migliore Attrice Protagonista a Charlize Theron e si prepara scherzosamente a ricevere un appassionante bacio dalla premiata che...non lo delude affatto!!!.
